HuffPost TV exclusively revealed that the second season of “Defiance” arrives 8 p.m. ET June 19 on Syfy. But wait, there’s more! To bridge the gap between Seasons 1 and 2, Syfy has created a “minisode” series called “Defiance: The Lost Ones.” There are five installments in the series (each one is between three and five minutes long) and they are all arriving this Friday on Syfy.com It will also be available via Syfy On Demand starting Monday.”

- Katie E. Douglas shines again as Irzu… hopefully we’ll see more of her in Season 2.
- I see they keep the cliffhangers coming even in the minisodes. I cant wait for the rest of them this Friday!
- This is exactly what I was hoping for in these webisodes. The “Jesse Does Defiance” shorts had me a little worried, but these are definitely show quality.

“If I Ever Leave This World Behind”
- The town council is totally out of control in this episode. It just shows that Amanda never really had control over the town she was attempting to govern… not her fault, of course.

Love the backstory with Pilar McCawley – brings up more world-building questions like what exactly did people who needed medications, especially psychotropic medications, do when there were none left?

- Conner and Nolan go on a roadtrip: best driving on this road trip, worst conversation ever,.. but I do love how territorial they get over Amanda.
- Datak kills Conner.
- It’s Datak’s scariest moment YET.
- “It doesn’t fit my narrative.”
- The Walking Dead does a great job of showing how morality shifts as circumstances shift, and I’d love to see Defiance take this on a bit more. Instead of just seeing Datak go apeshit, I’d love to go back in time (flashbacks, etc.) and see how he got that way… just gives credit to the world that Defiance has already built, I guess.
- The scene where Doc Yewll smokes with Nicky in her car? It’s her most gangster moment.
- Datak announces his candidacy
- Michelle: Can I be honest and say that I never saw this coming?
“The Bride Wore Black”
- Alak turns down his human “bride” and unearths a body instead (turns down one body for another)
- Parlimentary Inquiry: is this practice barbaric, alien, human, or all of the above? I expected a more alien ritual for a bachelor party.
- Michelle: Good point – this was VERY human-like behavior. But, all aliens seem to frequent the NeedWant at some point. But still, I expected something in a bath.
- Kenya and Amanda lie about Kenya’s terrible ex-husband
- Love any flashbacks with the Rosewater sisters.
- Rafe gets his panties in a bunch about a tilo
- Rafe reveals that his mines go to an irathient indigent organization when he dies
- Alak tells Daddy Datak to shove it after he tells him the wedding is off
- Stahma is so nice to Christie in this episode and I don’t believe for one second it’s because she actually cares about Christie…
- Nicky admits to killing Hunter Bell
- This is Nicky’s best episode of the season – although it was a bit preemptive to kill cat-loving Jered. If anything, she didn’t have to do that so quickly – Jered wouldn’t have talked about what he had seen seven years ago…
- Doc Yewll kills Nicky in response
- Wedding party time!
“Past is Prologue”
- The town says goodbye to mayor nicky
- I would love to have seen how Amanda dealt with the death of her mentor – especially seeing as how it was made to appear as suicide (prompted by murders)… that had to hurt – or maybe Amanda’s built up a hard shell over the years.
- Doc Yewll experiments with The knot
- What is Doc Yewll thinking? The silent genius and tinker, never letting us know what she knows but you sure as hell know she knows something you don’t!
- Irisa and Tommy go at it, and then Irisa can’t feel her legs.
- There’s a lewd joke in there I’m sure, but I’m not sure I’m qualified to make it ;)
- Stahma tells Kenya about a plot to kill amanda
- Was she and Datak working together on this point? Because it could be plausible that she did this on her own, hoping Amanda would pull out of the debate OR she could have done it so that Datak could stage his paintball scheme (on the flip side, Datak’s plan could work as a standalone without Stahma’s part in it)
- Alak goes through the shaming ceremony for datak
- These kinds of rituals are incredible (worldbuilding, people)
- gets his friend killed with a paintball gun
- Nolan’s past and dirty laundry gets aired out
- Alak is brought before his FIL and gets his ass kicked
- Nolan kicks Datak’s ass, with some help from irisa

Doc Yewll in regular clothing is quite odd. I’d love to see her just wandering around in vancouver, like “sup.”

The hellbug prop made out of discarded Doc Yewll heads is just plain cool, nothing creepy going on there at all, nope.
